When ever i open the left hand door with the control panel and ice maker on it, the control panel flickers and beeps and when clsoes sometimes the fridge temperature setting changes. What would cause this?

Seems like a loose harness cable connection on the Control panel pcb.

Given that your model may be based on this model, here's the GR-J24FWxx service manual Go to p.89 to see how to remove the control panel so that you can check if the cable connections are secure.
