Will this display fit?

I need to know, as you guys are the experts, will a A3113 EMC 8611 LCD full assembly fit on my A2681 EMC 4074? It says online that it's compatible, connections and all... will it work? Thanks

Not sure where you found the compatibility between the 2022 M2 and the 2024 M3 displays. Apple lists them as different P/N's.

Here's what I found at a very reputable reseller of Mac parts

Frankly, putting on a newer version of the display onto an older series system is very iffy! I don't find any documentation to say these are compatible. Do keep in mind you won't have TrueTone and I'm not sure if the configure program now in the newer macOS's will work.

You are aware Apple now sells parts directly for your system, while it's not cheaper it's guaranteed to work.

LCD Screen Display Replacement Assembly For MacBook Air 13.6 (A3113 EMC 8611) (for the A3113 / EMC 8611 2024 M3) and LCDOLED Replacement for Mac14,2 MacBook Air 13.6 M2 2022 (A2681 EMC 4074) (for the A2681 / EMC 4074 2022 M2) are both 13.6-inch display assemblies but are for different MacBook Air generations.
