Hi @jonasmenu

Try a full power refresh and check if this resolves the problem.

i). Disconnect the charger from the laptop if connected

ii). Open the laptop and disconnect the main battery from the motherboard

iii). Disconnect and remove the RTC coin cell battery (CMOS battery) from the motherboard

Here’s the service manual for the laptop.

Scroll to p.25 and p.34 to view the procedure to disconnect the main battery and the RTC battery, respectively. You don't have to remove the main battery, just disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard.

When the coin cell battery is out, measure its voltage. If it is <2.5V DC or if the battery is >4-5 years old replace it.

iv). Press and hold the laptop’s power button for a full 30 seconds and then release it.

v). Reconnect the RTC battery and the main battery and reassemble the laptop.

vi). Reconnect the charger and turn on the laptop and check if it starts OK.

If it does then there may be a message on the screen saying the date and time is incorrect. This is normal as the BIOS has been reset back to its factory default value. Once the date and time have been corrected the message won’t appear the next time the laptop is started.
