Apple's smallest iPhone 14 was released on September 9th and comes with a 6.1" OLED display, an advanced dual 12 MP camera system, and a front camera with autofocus. Successor to the iPhone 13.

My NFC doesn’t work

I got a second-hand iPhone14 online, the dealer said the backplate and the battery was replaced. NFC can be recognised by the phone ( Apple Pay pops up just fine), but nothing happens when paying. I’ve got no clue on the problem, and i can’t find any useful info online. Is there any way to fix it?

In this case, a panic log might help, but it’s not always relevant for NFC issues. Panic logs are most useful for system crashes or watchdog timeouts. If the phone hasn’t crashed or triggered a panic, the log probably won’t show anything about the NFC problem. It’s still worth checking if you notice any unexpected shutdowns or errors, but fixing the NFC will likely require a hardware inspection.

I checked the panic log and it showed no signs of relevant problems. It never triggered a panic before. I opened up the phone a while back and the inside was messed up: several screws and the sticker on the cpu are missing — very suspicious.
