Released on June 23, 1996, Model NUS-001, the N64 is Nintendo's first, and, up until the release of the Switch, only 64-bit gaming console (The GameCube, Wii, and Wii U could perform 64-bit floating-point calculations, but this is not true 64-bit architecture).

Power but no video.

My n64 would show video for a short time, then cut out to a green screen. So I did the credit card cleaning trick. And cleaned around the power supply and stuff because it wasn’t that great.

Then it worked for about 30 mins and did the same.

So I took it apart and did a bit of a deeper clean on the game cart slot and now I get no video AT ALL. It’s not even trying to.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi!

I know that a failing jumper pack can cause this..

Would try a new one first before proceeding.

Guide: Nintendo 64 Top Cover Replacement

If it’s still failing, then you might want to check the cartridge port further. Check gor broken pins and clean it completely with isopropyl alcohol.

Could you let us know how that works out? Thanks!
