1 Today, the screen is dead
Hi, I have an Aorus 15P KD that I bought in 2022, and I gave it to my friend in January 2024. He has been playing on my old laptop for almost a year, he played often. Yesterday it was working perfectly, and the only thing he did was a system update and then shut it down. Today, the screen is dead — it doesn’t respond at all and won’t turn on anymore.
So we don’t know if it’s the cable or the screen, because my friend was always opening and closing the laptop lid.

Does the laptop give an indication that the battery is charging when the charger is connected to the laptop?

I have the same problem, same model and bought it in 2022 too, I can tell you that is a design flaw, I probably closed/open that laptop less than 100 times, only when I had to travel, because it would normally sit on my desktop connected to an external monitor, sudenly the screen died with not warning, some people on reddit says that is the panel and other that could be the cable, and sadly there is no way to know (for me) which is without buying them and testing, which is about $200 for both parts. Btw, I have seen a lot of posts of that year model having the same issue with the screens.
