I to have the same problem. I owned a Maytag for 15 years and didn’t have any problems until this year. So, instead of getting it fixed ( which the cost would have been expensive) I decided to purchase a new Maytag, model MVWB980B. We only had it a few months and it started to not spin the water out completely. Very frustrating when you dole out a thousand dollars for something that doesn’t work right.

Here's the tech sheet for the washer that will help.
Run the Diagnostic tests procedure as shown on p.1 and check if there are any stored fault codes.
If there are any fault codes, the code and their meanings are shown on p.3→p.4
