Repair and troubleshooting information for the FixHub Power Series | Portable Soldering Station, the combination of the Portable Power Station and the Smart Soldering Iron. Released in October 2024.

Idle mode during soldering

  • Firmware 1.4.2, iron solder enters into idle mode during soldering. idle mode is configured with 20 seconds large enough normally. I don't do a lot of movements when I solder but it seems that it's not enough.
  • Is there a way to have the iron solder more sensible? Else I can turn off idle mode and just power off the iron.
Answer this question I have this problem too

@jonathanra66195 , You’re right, the motion sensor can sometimes go idle a bit too quickly during steady or delicate soldering work. Unfortunately, there isn’t currently a way to make the motion detection more sensitive.

The easiest workaround is to turn off Idle Mode entirely so the iron stays on until you power it down manually. Here’s how to do that:

  1. On the iron, open the Settings menu.
  2. Scroll down to Idle Enable.
  3. Toggle it Off.
  4. Optionally, set your Sleep Timer or Auto Power Off for safety.

That’ll keep the iron active the whole time you’re working. Just remember to switch it off when you’re done — disabling Idle Mode means it’ll keep drawing power and can shorten tip life a little over time.

Let me know if this helps or if you have any other questions.
