If the TV screen is broken i.e. cracked, then it has to be replaced as it cannot be repaired.

Replacing a TV screen can cost nearly half as much as buying a new TV. That is if you can find a screen.

The best option is to advertise the TV as "LG 49LB5550-UY, broken screen, good for parts", to try and recoup some of the cost towards a new TV. Working TV boards are always in demand.
