How to replace speaker
Is this a good question?
1 Comment:
To replace the speaker in a Sony Xperia 1, the process is similar to other Xperia devices and requires careful disassembly. Steps:
1. Power off the phone and remove SIM tray.
2. Heat the back glass (hair dryer or heat gun, ~80 °C) to soften adhesive.
3. Pry open back cover carefully with suction cup + plastic picks. Avoid damaging fingerprint sensor flex.
4. Disconnect battery before touching any other parts.
5. Unscrew and remove the loudspeaker module (bottom). It is held by small Phillips screws and adhesive.
6. Disconnect the speaker flex connector from the motherboard.
7. Replace with new speaker module. Make sure it sits flush.
8. Reconnect battery, reassemble in reverse order.
9. Apply new adhesive for the back cover, heat and press to seal.
Tools:
Phillips #00 screwdriver
Plastic opening picks
Suction cup
Tweezers
Heat source
Replacement part: Sony Xperia 1 loudspeaker module (must match model).
