Turn on phone but volume button missing

A few days ago, I realized that my volume button was missing from my phone. However, the past few weeks I have been unable to turn my phone on, even with the help of the volume button. I would like to know if it is possible to turn on my phone with a usb cable and laptop? If so how can I fix it?
