Repair and troubleshooting information for GE brand dishwashers.

Broken Latch Assembly - Male End

The plastic piece on the Latch assembly broke off and the door does not lock now. It is the part at the top of the dishwasher base that holds the door closed when in operation. It is the male end of the locking mechanism. The metal is still there but the plastic piece broke. How can I replace this? Will the whole dishwasher need to come apart?

It is a GE Triton XL (GSD6200G00WW)
