How do I fix the timing

My car doesn't qant to start, I suspect the timing needs to be reset

Without more info, background maintenance, etc, anyone can make guesses but might not answer your generalized question. Are you able to test for spark and fuel? One way to determine which one is suspect would be spraying starting fluid into the throttle body and try starting. This presumes battery, battery cables and their connections are fine and the drive belt is tight for the alternator.

I would say you are wrong. "Timing" would be off my chart as a possible cause.

The more common things would be Battery, spark, & fuel. Of course, if the timing belt broke, that is a whole nother problem.

BUT, if the only thing you have to offer is your suspicions vs actionable symptoms and observations, you need to call a mechanic.
