How to remove the power socket from the back case?

I’ve recently gutted my iMac and turned it into a display with a display board. Currently I have the power and display cables coming out the RAM door, but I really want to have all the cables come out the power socket, however I can’t figure out how to remove it. It’s plastic, so I know it’s a different material and not part of the chassis, but I only found 2 screws and removing them did nothing. Anyone have to do this recently or know how to do it? Everything I find online talks about removing the power supply or the power cord, but those are done.

It's hot glued in the older models. A good heat gun should be able to soften the glue

But, how about leveraging it hard wired on the inside sharing the single AC cable connection out. As far as the data cable to the system a you pass it though one of the port holes? You don't really want the two cables to be to close as you can get cross feed noise and if there's a lightning strike it can jump across.

On my 2012 27" iMac, there are 4 screws - the bottom 2 are reachable but might be hidden in the fluff that collects down there and a heat gun got the socket out. The lower screws allow a bit of the socket mechanism to be removed. Worth vacuuming out the whole of the bottom with a narrow nozzle to clean it out. I bought a 90 degree HDMI male/female adaptor so the short HDMI cable is flush with the back of the case. A bit of soldering to make a cable with male/female 12V PSU end and then cut a piece of plate glued over the hole inside to take the HDMI and PSU sockets tidied it all up. The cable for the control panel just goes through the ethernet hole and then some thick doubled sided sponge stuck it to the back, which covered up the other slots.
