This grandpad has no sim and is not on a plan. It can't do much, but it can act as an elec picture frame. The issue is that it has the wrong timezone. Changing the location from the admin tools of the companion app and restarting has no affect on the home-timezone. Anyone know how this might be accomplished? Thanks.

Have you tried connecting to the internet VIA hot spot or tethering to another device changing the time zone then disconnect?

Hmmm... You could certainly get it connected to a wifi network, but without an active plan, there probably isn't any other way to control/modify what it has access to. I doubt that Consumers Cellular would let you admin a device that doesn't have active service. As for the time zone, the way they have that unit locked down, it's probably set to autosync time zone, which means that (hopefully) getting it online would resolve that within an hour or so.
