A range of low-end Acer Aspire laptops released c. 2014, running Windows 8. Primarily in competition with equivalent Chromebooks.

It says, No bootable device.

I had its original HDD with original windows in it.

Tried to install new windows but also can't read the flash disk, USB ports works fine.

To get Boot Menu press F12 key after turning computer on. Select your system hard drive.

Did that work? If not please give us some background.

Did it work with the original HDD? If so which version of Windows?

Which version of Windows did you try to install?

Were you doing a fresh install from a bootable Windows install USB drive

or

an inplace install from the Windows Desktop (to save files and apps)?

I tried to install new but it wanted to install only on gpt disk, so I formated the disk to gpt and basically it's clean as new with now installed win 8, but I kind of dissatisfied with it. It's a bit laggy and I don't like the start menu at all, any suggestions?
