I did something like this to an old Galaxy Mini S5570
Warning: Microsoldering involved, do this at your own (much higher than normal) risk
- Disassemble the phone
- Remove the motherboard
- Use a heat gun and low-melt solder to remove the charge port
- Lightly tin the pads of the new charge port
- Solder the new port in place (Small soldering iron tip and microscope are useful)
- Reassemble the phone
