So basically the overhead monitor in my 2014 has no sound and I don't have a remote for it if that might be the case or is it because they don't come with sound? And if anyone here can tell me where to buy a remote that would be nice thank you.

Go to p.393 (of 702 pdf) and view the section Using The Touchscreen Radio to see if you can make it work using the radio's touchscreen controls.
