Issue with AC jack turning on

So when I'm trying to turn this gameboy color on with the AC Adapter the light will flicker for a second and only sometimes will it power on (shown in video below). But if I bridge pins 1 and 2 on the jack as soon as I stop the bridge it will turn on every time( also shown below) I'm assuming this is a faulty power jack but would like a second opinion.

also this Gameboy turns on just fine with batteries it's just the AC jack that is finicky

Hi there!

Well it does look like you do need to replace the power jack! Would start there and see how it goes.

If it was the power board, it also would have issues when you use it on batteries.
