Not charging and touchpad unresponsive

There appears to be no power, the touchpad is not responsive and the iPad is not charging.

Options

Are you able to charge the iPad by the USB port directly as well as using another Magic Key Board (might want to visit an Apple Store to use theirs if they are willing).
