Fixable? Samsung TV Colour Dull On One Side

hi,

A few months ago I noticed my 2020 QLED Samsung TV look faded whilst playing a video game. I’ve since followed all the steps, it’s all been reset, there’s no updates, I’ve tried all settings. I’ve owned the tv since new which was bought in 2021 so it’s approaching 4 years old out of the box. Nothing has change during that time but all input cables were unplugged nevertheless and the fault remains. Something has failed or is failing inside the tv and I’m wondering if anyone can advise me. I have searched high and low and all I can find is content on side totally failing, going black etc.

I know it might not seem catastrophic, but it’s so visible with the naked eye and a constant distraction when gaming.

Red seems to show it up most but the faint vertical lines are present no matter the colour as is the dull lack of vibrancy.

I have included an image but it is worse with the naked eye.

Thank you

@chris48114 this looks like you are running into issues with the LCD buffer boards. Those are considered part of the panel. At this time, I would suggest to adjust the colors in your menu to a level so that you can still watch it. Ultimately this does not look like anything a board replacement or a DIY reparatur could fix.

Thank you for sharing your view although obviously not the best news 😢.

I didn’t want to pay someone to take the tv away only be told it can’t be fixed.
