1 Why does my laptop turn off?
Hi,
My laptop has recently started to experience this feeling, where i plug the charger into it and it automatically starts, then when the power is given (lcd lights up) the laptop shuts off after a second then i am unable to power it on again. Could it be a graphics card issue? The model is TravelMate 5720 and has a swappable MXM GPU card. I know that it is old, but I still want to use it. Thanks.

After the laptop automatically starts when you have plugged in the charger, can you force stop the laptop by holding the power button operated until it shuts done?
If the laptop shuts down, does the charger continue just charging the battery (assuming there's a battery installed) or not?
