Servicing mower, maintaining motor
Is the motor brushless? Any other key maintenance to keep it running quietly and at full power? I don't even know where to look for this, it's not in the manual.

This motor does have two brushes. The Black and Decker part number for the brushes is 242273-00. You may also need the brush inserts that hold the brushes; it is part number 242274-00. I have owned this mower since 2005 and after 18 years in constant use, the brushes finally wore out in 2023. There is not much to maintaining this mower. It is a reliable workhorse. You just need to keep it clean. Every once in a while, open up the top (black) cover and vacuum out the motor compartment. Lots of grass clippings manage to get in there.
