Repair and disassembly information for AirPods Max wireless noise-cancelling headphones.

Is it a poor contact?

When the right earcup is open, the pairing begins, and if you turn the earcup slightly inward, only the right voice will be cut off, and if you turn it a little more, the Bluetooth will be disconnected. When you install the headphones, the pairing is unpaired from the iPhone.

In this case, is it a problem with poor contact of the hinge hardware?

It sounds like debris on the headband contact pin connecting the left earcup to the right earcup.

Try removing the headband using a SIM ejector tool (This can be found under the ear cushions)

When you pop off the band, the band has what appears to be lightning-like contact pins. Clean those with isopropyl alcohol wipes and reinstall them.

Hope that helps!
