12 volt Viking jump starter

It should be changed but it keeps beeping and says that the battery is dead on the jump starter. What should I do?

Most low cost portable battery boosters/jump starter use a sealed lead acid battery with a limited life. Better, more expensive ones use lithium batteries and may last longer. If kept charged periodically, they may last longer than 5 years. If you can disassemble your jump pack, you may find specs on the battery to see if its worth replacing, presuming the electronics is intact or buy a new jump starter.
