Boggs down when accelerating too fast

If I slowly apply throttle it seems fine but if I press the petal even slightly faster it jogs down like the engine is going to die

@jesseklein sounds like you engine floods as it gets the fuel. Could be a carb setting as well as a timing issue. What have you checked and exactly what engine does your Ford have?
