Hi Glenn,
What have you done to diagnose the problem so far? Have you verified your charger and cord are both working properly, either by swapping them out or trying them on a different device? Have. you cleaned the charging port? Does your phone indicate that it's charging when you plug it in? Does it work correctly when it's plugged into the charger and dies when unplugged?
As you can see, there's a bit more to this question than just saying "my phone won't charge". The more detail you can give us, the better chance you'll get an answer that will actually help.

There are many reasons because you want to replace the battery, you will have to be more specific, the charge does not last, it discharges too much, it discharges very quickly, the charge does not increase, it takes too long to charge, you can specify so we can help you.
