No Battery Adhesive Strips

My ifixit kit has no adhesive strips for the battery. The battery has no adhesive on it. Is this a mistake? The ifixit battery replacement guide does not address any battery adhesive replacement - only removing the old adhesive! Help!

Looking at the ifixit Google Pixel 4a Battery - Genuine kit the adhesive strips should be included in the kit.
