Why is my dsi doesnt charging?

i tried to charged my dsi at first but the charging light doesnt turning on. but my dsi xl is showing it was charging, i thought it was just some error. but then after 2 hour, i noticed that the battery percentage is still at 50%, so i tried changing another place to charge but still not increasing. what do i do? should i change the ac adapter or change the battery or something?

For posterity,

TL;DR - Component U11 is faulty.

I have a console with that exact problem. After fixing the female battery connector that was ripped off the motherboard board, I noticed both the positive and negative were shorted, which was very odd since it wasn't my solder job. Cross-checking with board schematics, I noticed that pins 9 & 10 on component U11 were shorting to GND on pin 4. Pin 9 & 10 were connected to the positive pad of the battery connector, so they shouldn't be shorting to ground like that. Replacing U11 from a donor board fixed the issue.

To add: If that didn't worked, you can try to test with a new battery. But most likely it's just the U11 causing this.
