Hard drive caddy bodged

I'm new to the world of Mac's but I recently bought a cheap mac mini 2012 and updated the RAM and SSD for my daughter. I was so impressed with how cheap it all was (I even sourced a cinema display for it) that I decided to get one for myself.

All was great until I removed the caddy for the HDD and discovered that it didn't have the slots for the screws to mount the second drive. All the rest checks out as a late 2012 except for the drive caddy. I put the drive in and used some tape to keep it in place. Everything went back in, although a little tight and it all works fine. I am concerned that it will overheat as there may not be sufficient air flow to cool it.

Would I be better off finding a replacement caddy, although there are not that many out there, or will the bodge suffice?

Though it isn’t ideal I would not worry about the tape especially if the Mac stays still. Airflow shouldn’t be an issue since it pulls airflow through the bottom.
