Apple Watch series 1 Battery Replacement

After replacing my battery I cannot get the watch to boot. When I press the start button I sometimes get several vibrations. I even got it to play some type of warning signal a few times, but no screen activity. I have checked all connections several times. Any ideas on the problem or what the signals mean?

my daughters apple 1 watch stopped working, the apple comes on the screen when I put it on the charger but that is it. Do you think it needs a new battery?
