Hi @aggeloslois

What is the make and model number of the motherboard?

Have you checked the audio settings in BIOS?

What is the status of the audio controller as shown in Device Manager > Sound, video and game controllers > right click on audio controller entry > Properties > General tab > Device status box? Does it say that "this device is working properly"?

Hi @aggeloslois

This is a very old motherboard so are you sure that it was working OK before you got it?

Looking at the user manual Ver.1.1 was issued in 2012 so Ver. 1.2 wouldn't be much newer. The motherboard support link you posted shows Ver.2 which is also from 2011/2012

There is a setting in BIOS that enables/disables the HD audio - (go to BIOS > Advanced > Integrated peripherals > HD Audio Controller) although I would have thought if it were disabled that it wouldn't show in Device Manager but still worth a look anyway.

If Device Manager shows it working OK then it means that the audio controller is being detected by Windows but this doesn't mean that the audio output is OK, just that the OS can talk to the audio controller OK.

How did you try to test the audio?

Check that with the speakers connected to the rear audio jack on the motherboard that when you go to Control Panel > Sound > Playback > click on Speakers > Properties that it shows the speakers are connected to the rear jack and that Device usage: is set to Use this device (enable).

Click on the Sounds tab to test the audio
