Touch ID replacement with simple Home Button

During replacement of LCD, touch id flex cable broken from 2 points. My question is, if I replace the touch id with normal button, will it work as simple home button.

Yes you can replace the home button and it will still function as a normal home button. You’ll lose TouchID and you’ll get a message saying “unable to activate TouchID”.
