Can my power failure be fixed?

My Acer Swift laptop died suddenly. The screen went black and there are no keyboard lights. I assume this is a power problem. Can it be fixed?

Options

Disconnect battery - don’t take out:

Then see if works with only charger/powersupply plugged in.

If Yes then replace battery.
