Brake light switch wont turn off.

I have a 2012 peugeot 508 Diesel, i bought a replacement brake light switch and i am still having the same problem when i take my foot off the brake peddle and the brake light won’t turn off, what am i missing here?

I suggest that the switch is defect or you connected it wrong…
