Hello, my monitor suddenly went black and i can still see faint light that shows better in a dark room, everything is black inculding on screen controls and logo so problem not from pc or cable
Any ideas?
The monitor is asus pg27uq

How long did you purchase it ?
had you tried with another input on the monitor ? e.g. hdmi or displayport?
normally when you disconnect the cables, there should be no signal found …
does it display normally?
normally monitors it should have 3 years warranty

I would suggest you to send in for service if you still have warranty.

Thank you for your answer but unfortunately i bought it refurbished with 3 months warranty
And there is no input with any cable, the startup logo or the on screen menu doesn't even show, there is a slight light as shown in the pic
i have a feeling the backlight might be faulty.
take a torchlight and shine on the screen to inspect the display is in order....
some idea....
sometimes one faulty LED can cause this issues.
