After replacing battery: loudspeaker not working

I recently replaced the battery and had poor luck with the sticky tabs and had to do a fair amount of prying to get the battery out and must’ve done damage.

Current situation:

  • Headphone jack works
  • Bluetooth sound works
  • No loudspeaker

Have tried:

  • All volume controls
  • Power cycling
  • I replaced the loudspeaker with a new one, but that apparently was not the issue, must be something upstream

Possibly unrelated, but I also have gotten error messages upon startup saying that the TouchID could not function on my phone.

Any advice or tips are greatly appreciated.

Was the motherboard inside the phone while prying? Tried a new charging port flex?

I don’t work on SE too often but unless I'm mistaken the loudspeaker sits on the charging port flex and operates through that. Which in turn connects to the motherboard instead of having separate flex for speaker and charing port. Could of caused motherboard damaged (very bad) or could of damaged the flex enough to hurt the loudspeaker function but not enough to damage the headphone function.

Yes, so do I. I haven't used TiD since last year after replacing another home button accessory because the original home button was not sensitive (but my last home button also couldn't recognize fingerprints in the later stage). But after the latest battery and screen assembly replacement, my SE will become hotter and hotter when playing music, and then when you want to force restart, it will enter an infinite restart until the power is exhausted. But this situation will not become so serious when I play videos and use wireless headphones to listen to music. Even if it is a regular heat caused by the age, I can still use this mobile phone normally.
