In August 2000, the ninth-generation Corolla was introduced in Japan, with edgier styling and more technology to bring the nameplate into the 21st century.

AC randomly turning off

So I have a 2007 Corolla. Sometimes when I start the car the AC won't turn on. None of the speeds work. Then randomly while driving, it will kick in and work for a while.

The first time it happened, it was only for a short time, and didn't happen again for a while, but now the 'outages' are getting a little closer together. I don't know if there seems to be a short in the wiring or something? Any help would be appreciated.

This sounds like a bad ground . Finding the end of the ground wire can be a task . It is often easiest to just run a jumper off the ground wire at the blower and make a new ground on the firewall with a self taping screw . Hope this helps

I have the same problem,

I have three cars for me, my wife and my son.

I used to take them to a mechanic, and he always created more problems than he fixed.

Suddenly, all three cars experience the same issue: the AC works intermittently and stops working at times. The Corol car heats up if I turn the AC on, but the coolant fluid is normal

Where can I find the ground wire, or where should I begin my search?
