This happens to me when I get hit between the legs.

I'd first put in brand new batteries and see if this fixes his falsetto voice.

First turn it upside down and press the tongue and hold the reset button press the tongue and the reset button for 5 or 10 seconds until it change pitches if it does not repeat the steps until it changes
