Hi,
If it is only SMS messages where there are no notification sounds and you are using the default Message app, then go to Home > Messages > tap right hand key below screen to bring up options menu, select Settings > Notifications. Ensure that Mute is Off and that you have selected the sound of your choice in Sound in lieu of none if none is selected.

I had same problem bought a refurbished mother board now I have sound
Yes going to my message settings worked for me ,, finally i can hear my messagessss :) lol

Following for a friend
I have the same problem but the sound is on and volume all the way up. The only thing off is vibrate with notification. I turn that off to save battery.
Especially now since 5 days ago my phone got hot and now the battery drains fastt all of a sudden. Grrr.
.
But the sound when I get a text, has been an issue for months…

Qlink charged me $70 for this phone. Yes it gets hot, has since I first started using it! I saw on a forum where people said they got the phone for free! Others said They paid $25!!! This has been a nightmare!
