I've had this laptop for around 2 months and I've realized that the battery only lasts for around 4-5 hours when I don't have it connected. I don't run any power hungry programs. Could it be the touchscreen that is draining the battery and should I disable that or should I just get a new battery.

Disabling the touch screen will not stop the battery from draining. The best idea would be to get another battery because the factory version normally only lasts for 4 hours.
