Why did the ringer stop working?

My phone works fine except it will no longer ring. All other features still function normally.

Step 01

If you are now in silent mode ringer wont work : changed to normal mode and check

Step 02

Check the contacts of ringer properly connected to motherboard

Step 03

Check the ringer using Multi meter, impedance should be 7-16 ohms, if you got beyond resistance value just replace the ringer.

All of a sudden it started working again and I didn't change anything. A loose connection maybe? No idea how to check that myself.
