Coil or Plastic Tooth
First we need to determine if you have a coil or plastic tooth zipper. Coil zippers, pictured in blue, have teeth that are made of a tight coil. This is super late, but metal zips usually have teeth like the plastic tooth zipper, so try the guides for that.
