The Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro does not produce sound when active. Some possible causes and solutions are listed below!
Volume is Muted
The most common solution to a lack of audio is normally due to the volume being muted. If this is the brunt of the issue, this problem can be solved simply by adjusting the volume using the two buttons located on the side of your Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro.
Speaker has Water Damage
Even if your phone seems perfectly fine, water can still be the cause of your speakers not working. If your phone has recently been under water and your speakers have failed soon after trying to dry your phone off as soon as you possibly can, pat the phone dry. If the phone was exposed to salt water, it would be best to lightly rinse the phone to remove the salt as the salt is highly corrosive. After this see if the phone can assume normal function and move the volume up and down to see if the speakers are working.
Speaker Software Malfunction
The audio issue could be linked to a bug that you came across from perhaps a website or app you have visited at some point. If this is the case, the problem can usually be resolved by a simple restart of your phone. To do this, press one of the volume buttons and the power button at the same time for about two seconds until a black screen appears that has a button that says “restart.” Simply press that button, wait for your phone to restart, and see if your speaker problems are resolved.
External device(s) connected
Many things can connect to your phone and interfere with your phone’s audio system. This item doesn't need to even produce sound; it can be a selfie charm, another Bluetooth device, or any other third-party devices. To find out if this is the case, make sure your device’s headphone jack is entirely clear As well as make sure your Bluetooth is off so that it cannot connect to any device. You can turn the Bluetooth off by looking for the Bluetooth icon in the settings menu. Once these two things are done, make an attempt to see if the speaker is making noise.
