Sander remains on after switch is let go by user

This is due to a worn out brake pad. Over time the brake pad becomes weak and no longer stops the sander from rotating after the switch is released. Replace the brake pad.

Switch may be worn. Must replace switch to fix.

Sandpaper not sticking to velcro pad

Hook and Loop, what the sandpaper sticks onto, is made of velcro and allows the sandpaper to stay attached to the device while sanding. Over time the velcro becomes worn and loses strength. Replace the Hook and Loop.

To fix, replace sandpaper.

Hook and Loop is loose on device

The pad assembly is held by the hook and loop. Over time, the pad may become loose and needs to be replaced. Replace the hook and loop.

The screws holding pad on may be loose. Tighten them.

When I squeeze the switch, the device won’t turn on

This may be due to a faulty or broken switch. It is the part of the tool handling on/off and variable speed operations, over time mechanical switches tend to wear out and begin to fail. Replace the switch assembly.

Check plug, it might not be fully in the outlet. If plug is fully in outlet, swap outlets. If it is outlet, see below.

Outlet may not be drawing power. Move to another outlet and try again.

The device won’t retain dust

Counterbalance fan allows for dust collection into the dust bag. Sanding dust is drawn up through the holes of the sanding disc and collected in the dust bag during sanding. The fan may break and dust collection will stop. Replace the fan.

Dust bag is full of dust. Remove bag and empty it.
