No Audio

Speaker May Not Enabled

First, you want to go to the control panel and view the Hardware and Sound category. Under this category, click the device manager. Next, double click the Sound, video and game controllers section. Check if the device is enabled and configured, if not click the enable option.

Headphone Jack is Possibly Not Connected

First, check that the headphones are fully plugged in. If audio continues to not play the next step would be to go into the control panel and click the Hardware and Sound category. In this category, you will find the sub-category of Sound. Under that you will be able to manage audio devices. If the headphones icon is shown, set it as the default sound option. If the icon is missing, the device could be missing a driver and you should update it as explained below.

Driver Malfunction

If audio is not working or is distorted through the speakers, another possible solution is updating the driver. First, follow the instructions to the device manager explained in the first solution. Next, find the Sound, video and game controllers section and right click on the device name underneath the category. Uninstall the driver and restart the computer. Repeat the steps until you reach the device name under the category. This time update the driver software and click Search automatically for updated driver software. Restart the computer again.

Be certain you select the exact information for your computer. Next, select the drop down menu Component to select BIOS/UEFI. Click the download icon for the latest update. Once the installation file saved to your computer, click it and run the file.
