Dyson DC52 Error diagnostics

• Motor defective (remove and check motor instructions).
• Cable or contact in cable reel defective (replace cable reel).
• Wiring between cable reel and motor defective (check for loose connectors or broken strands when disassembling)
• Switch on button does not operate switch (straighten plastic parts, replace if necessary)
• Switch defective (replace switch)

• Short circuit in cable or cable reel (replace cable reel)

• Short circuit in motor (replace motor)
• Rotor blocked and motor draws overcurrent (remove the motor, try to clear the blockage, and test motor).
• Circuit is not rated for inrush current (use the higher fused circuit, 10 amp fuses will blow even on some vacuum cleaner models without a defect, use inrush current limiter).
• Short circuit in the connecting strands between switch and motor (replace strands).

• Individual windings failed (replace motor)

• Strong collector fire (replace motor).
• Combustible dirt deposited in motor (check motor)

• Post engine filter is torn (replace filter).
• Post engine filter completely clogged (replace or clean filter)
• Dirt or mold throughout the unit (disassemble and clean).

• Leakage

• Post-motor filter clogged (replace or clean filter).
• Large foreign body in the supply line (remove)
• Safety valve jammed (unjam it)
