Teardown

What you need

This teardown is not a repair guide. To repair your Todd Star Adding Machine, use our service manual.

1. Step 1 Remove the side and bottom screws
  I use a plastic multi-compartment box and beware of screws have different sizes and shapes

2. Step 2 Hold the number paddles down
  Rubber bands work great. Need to do this so the paddle fins don't jam in the slots they fit through

4. Step 3 Remove the internals
  May have to slide a thin blade up the sides to break the rust free

5. Step 4 Remove the sum axle and dials
  Keep them in order
  
  Note which side the screws are on
