MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2012 Hard Drive Replacement

My Problem

My old 750 WD Black started acting funny, then the machine wouldn't start up. Luckily I was able to access the drive from my Hackintosh and remove all the files. I thought once the drive had been emptied I could reformat it, but it is toast. So much for WD Black. Replacing it with a Seagate SSHD 1TB, 8GB NAND because everyone's out of the 32GB NAND model.

My Fix

Smooth. Forgot I had to format the drive first. THought I could format it from online, but Apple as of 9/16 would only install Leopard from the web, and when the install dialogue box appeared, the drive didn't. So I had to pull the drive again and format it on my Hack again. Everything smooth. Careful with the screws!

My Advice

Take it slow, dont drop any screws!
