macOS Basic Hotkeys

Introduction

This guide will show you all basic command keys. (As of macOS Tahoe 26.3)

This does not have all hotkeys. just the basic ones you need to know.

    • F1: Brigtness-

    • F2: Brightness+

    • F3: Show all apps

    • F4: Search

    • F5: Toggle Dictation

    • F6: Toggle Do Not Disturb

    • F7: Go a few seconds back

    • F8: Play/Pause

    • F10: Toggle Sound

    • F11: Sound-

    • F12: Sound+

    • Keep in mind that Magic Keyboards with Numeric Keypads have 7 additional, unnamed function keys.
